Game requires you to drop your weapon when you enter a building. Started off rather promising with a somewhat Outlast sequence with a big muscular guy after you then being allowed to roam in this huge open world town.įirst off. The trailer looked quite promising despite the amount of negative reviews and since it was on sale for Halloween, I thought why not? Also, the council of hanwell is included with the steam purchase. Bought on PS4 as well, I enjoy the atmosphere and graphics! A steal for the sale price of $1.99. I hope to see more from Nathan in the horror genre in the future, cause there really is potential, Should just have kept it indoors. The open world part dident really work for me, I ended up just walking alone and with no encounters for a long time to reach my locations, I dident explore everything, cause i was pretty focused on the main story and just went for those main buildings - Jail, church, Hospital, power plant and the School. I really enjoyed the main mission locations and the atmosphere, puzzles and scares within. So Welcome to Hanwell is a pretty good Indie Horror Game But skip this one unless it's on a deep sale. I totally respect that it's a one man production and I would check out any future offerings to see how they improve. I really wanted to like this game but it just wasn't there for me.
